Wolfgang Brand

First time I moved to Spain was in the year 1992. I was working in Gran Canaria as a salesman in  the prestigious timeshare resort Anfi del Mar. This was also when i first met my wife.

We left Spain in between several times but always kept coming back.  It where some very busy years in the timeshare industry, living and working in places like: Tenerife, Dominican Republic, Ibiza, Munich and Prague.

It was time to settle so we have chosen the beautiful Costa del Sol and shortly after arriving here I did start my own business. I am now working as a consultant in the on-line marketing industry and specialised on providing SEO ( Search Engine Optimisation) Services to companies in the real estate industry. Currently setting up the Spanish branch of ad1Media, a well know online marketing agency with offices in Switzerland and Poland.

I did set up this blog with the intention to help new residents on the Costa del Sol to get established that little bit easier. I am looking forward to some constructive discusions and some new contacts and friends.

Sincerely

I lived in Spain in the 1990s and made “every mistake in the book  and since I returned permanently in 2001 I have tried to help many of the thousands of British and Northern Europeans who emigrate to Spain to settle in – we have organised Newcomers Clubs meetings, forums, free Spanish lessons and expat exhibitions.

I have written extensively about life as ” a new immigrant” in the expat press and I am regularly interviewed on English-language radio.

The backbone of this is an English language portal www.thisisspain.info which I have deveoped over many years and which I am trying to expand into a respected source of information about expat life in Spain. I am always looking for additional content and I am always happy to offer links or editorial space.

My key area of expertise is placing products or services into the expat markets of Spain. Successful projects to date include insurance, telephony, alarms, language courses and exhibition services. I have big networks of end users and distributors among expat residents especially on the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol. I am always happy to discuss any potential activity with this user group.

Sincerely

Steve Hall
